MEET THE DOCTOR
Dr. James C. Brummett is a 2002 graduate of the UF College of Dentistry. He was raised in Dunnellon, FL and attended undergraduate on scholarship to Troy University. Dr. Brummett is a veteran of the USAF where is completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency while stationed at Travis Air Force Base in CA. He has also completed a 1 year Master Clinician in Implant Dentistry at the prestigious GIDE institute in conjunction with the UCLA Dental Continuing Education department. Dr. Brummett runs his private dental practice based on his core dental beliefs: Prevention of dental disease and physical failure of teeth, Early intervention and treatment of conditions, Preservation of bone and gums using proven techniques to include biologic grafting procedures and Replacement of teeth with dental implants through extensive planning. He only utilizes scientific principles and evidence based research in his practice. Highly aesthetic cosmetic outcomes are his passion and each step of every procedure is planned with this outcome as priority.
Dr. Brummett has lived in Apalachicola, Lake City, Gainesville and Utica, NY. Dr. Brummett and his spouse (also a UF grad. and physician) returned to Gainesville from Utica, NY to be close to their large family while raising their 4 very active children. 2 dogs are always included in this mix, keeping life very busy! When not at work, Dr. Brummett and his family enjoy hiking in the Adirondack mountains, attending their kids’ band and sports performances and spending time on the water and in the numerous local springs.
